Hard Truck Covers
There is an array of Hard Truck Covers available to buy for your pickup truck. The type you
choose should depend upon your particular style and the cargo you carry. There
are Folding hard tonneau covers constructed of plastic or aluminum as well as hinged truck covers. The hinged

This fibeglass truck cover is my personal favorite with the optional wing. Painted up to
match your trucks paint code. The sporty look of this cover will have heads turning in your
direction in a flash.
The Ranch Legacy is not very good if you carry large cargo which extends up
over the sideboards of your pickup truck. It is great for looks, weather, security for lower type

The Ranch Sportwrap is also a great design in a fiberglass hinged truck cover. Also painted
to match your trucks color code. Locks for security and great weather protection. As with all
hinged tonneau covers, the Sportwrap is not very good for carrying cargo that is higher than the
sides of your truck.
These hinged hard truck covers open very easily with one hand. As with the legacy this

Plastic:

The Undercover tonneau cover is a plastic hinged type tonneau cover. The undercover truck
cover comes in black but it is possible to take it and have it painted. A difference in the paint
finish from your truck may possibly occur due to the texture of the cover.
These hard truck covers are less expensive than the fiberglass tonneau covers. They still
offer great weather protection and security. It is a little better than the fiberglass truck bed
covers when it comes to taller cargo. This cover is much lighter and is able to come off in
seconds. It would be OK if you carry large cargo once in a while.

The Undercover SE is just a little sportier version of the Undercover. It has all the great
features of the original with a sportier design. Just as tough and acomes off or on quickly to help
with large cargo you may have to haul once in a while.

Folding Hard Truck Covers
Aluminum:

The G2 Bakflip folding tonneau cover has an aluminum panel core with a tough EPS core. There
is less movement in aluminum panels with temperature change than in plastic. This truck bed cover
folds all the way to the cab and can be secured protecting the back window. The stake holes remain
available for an optionl rack, tiedowns rails guards and more.

The Bakflip HD hard truck covers offer all the same features as the Bakflip G2 but it is a
heavier duty model. You are able to drive with the truck cover fully opened just like the G2. This
is great for hauling all cargo.
The panels on the HD are 5/8's of an inch rather than the 1/2 inch of the G2. This allows
a thicker Eps core for even more strength.

The Bakflip F1 is the best Bakflip by far. An even thicker EPS core which is in between a
fierglass reinforced polymer on top and aluminum underneath. It has all the features of the other
Bakflips.

The Extang Solid Fold truck cover is constructed with aircraft grade aluminum and is a hard
version of their famous Trifecta tonneau cover. Some differences with the solid fold from the
Bakflip models are the stake holes are covered over, it isn't as low profile and you can't drive
with it open.

Whether you are wanting the great
looks that fiberglass hard truck covers offer when they are painted
up to match the color of your truck, or you want a folding tonneau cover that allows you to carry cargo that is
taller than the sides of your truck, I am sure there is a truck bed cover above to suit your needs. Just remember
to think about the cargo you are going to carry. If you only carry low type cargo like tools and stuff
a fiberglass truck cover will look great and offer very good weather
protection and security for your cargo. They also are very easy to get in and out of.
If you often carry tall cargo but don't want to
have to roll up your cover every time you need to use it, one of the Bakflip models will be your best bet. They are
very quick and easy to use and they also offer some great security and weather protection. If money isn't a real
issue I would recommend the F1. It is a good truck bed cover and I am sure you won't be
disappointed. You can also get an optional rack for ladders, kayaks,
canoes and more. You won't find and Hard Truck Covers at a better quality or
price than the ones I listed here.
